Clifton J. Bruner - President: Kip brings to Southwestern Services over two decades of real estate development, design and construction experience. Responsibilities ranged from development coordination and lease negotiation to budgeting and value engineering through complete design and construction administration. In addition to Kips expertise, he holds a degree from Texas A&M, a master’s electrical license and graduate studies in real estate and finance, as well as contractors’ licenses in the states of Alabama, Arizona, Florida, South Carolina and California. Kip Bruner has extensive experience in retail, real estate development and construction management having been formerly associated with national and international corporations. Kip Bruner is exceptional in dealing with clients, architects, developers, city officials and contractors. Kip is a strong proponent of the “team” concept, collaborating with our customers from initial planning of your project to successful completion. He brings the professionalism and integrity required to offer our client’s top quality, comprehensive, construction management programs.
Gary C. Wortham - Vice President: Gary joined Southwestern Services in 2002, bringing over 25 years of experience in marketing, customer services, and new business development. Gary’s career progressed through sales and marketing to Vice President of Sales and Marketing of a major national company, later serving as President and CEO. His definition for success is surpassing customer’s expectations and his passion is Team Building with our customers. Gary holds a degree from Texas A&M and serves on the Advisory Board of Directors, 12th Man Foundation. Gary believes in meeting our customer’s needs by literally being an extension of our customer’s team taking the “worry” out of construction management for you, the customer.
Michael Turner, CPA - Controller: Mike joined Southwestern Services in July 2008 and is responsible for all of our accounting functions including financial reporting and analysis, policies and procedures, budgetary controls, and job costing. Mike is a CPA with over 20 years of significant accounting and finance experience in both public accounting and corporate environments. Mike has held Manager level positions with a Big 5 accounting firm and with a Fortune 500 company and has extensive experience in the construction industry. Mike believes in a proactive, solutions-based approach to financial management to ensure that Southwestern Services consistently exceeds its customers’ expectations. Mike holds an MBA in Finance from Texas Christian University, and undergraduate degrees in Marketing from Harding University and in Accounting from Texas Wesleyan University.
John Ario - Safety & Quality Assurance Officer: In 1986, John started as our San Antonio Division Manager, supervising our major projects in the Southwest and Gulf Coast region. In 1992, John moved to Dallas/Fort Worth to serve as Corporate Vice President. John has over 18 years experience in all phases of construction work and supervision. John’s experience prior to joining Southwestern Services includes, five years of military management operations with emphasis on electronic systems installation (John served 15 years with a top secret security classification), operating a home improvement company, Carpentry Supervisor over multiple restaurant ground-up construction projects. John’s attention to detail and excellent overall construction knowledge has made him invaluable to our company, and our customers.
Gary Tucker - Sr. Project Manager/Special Projects: Gary joined Southwestern Services in the spring of 1997, bringing with him 20 years of extensive and exemplary expertise in project production, design, supervision and management. An Architect and Engineer Major of the University of Texas/Arlington, Gary, a master craftsman himself, offers proficient skills in quality and cost control, project efficiency, and ingenuity in design and construction. As a General Contractor for many years, Gary has produced, co-produced and managed a wide range of high-quality residential, multi-family and commercial projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. These include major residential additions/remodeling, new home construction, restaurant, retail, office and warehouse renovations, as well as other commercial restorations and renovations. With continuing service in the business and local community, he demonstrates exemplary skills in both leadership proficiency and consumer rapport. Gary has a forte for producing the best in project design, quality, effectiveness, and satisfaction, all of which will be beneficial to you, our customer.
Terry Easley - Project Manager: Terry joined Southwestern Services in 2007 after spending over 15 years as a construction manager with one of the largest retailers in the country. Terry understands customer impact on remodels, and plans specifically to minimize the direct impact on our customer's daily sales. Terry believes in effective daily communication and in providing professional solutions for successful projects.
